THE ROLE

My client is now seeking a Project Manager to join them initially to support a Senior Project Manager on a huge project which is in Croydon and with an office base in Kent / South East London borders area.

The initial project will start from demolition stage through to new build including some repurposing and fit out.

This is a massive project of high value mainly for a range of residential properties.


The Company

My client is a firm of construction consultants providing Project Management, Building Surveying, Employers Agent, Quantity Surveying and Principal Designer services.

They have a selection of long standing clients and are extremely busy.

They are a medium to large size firm who are part of a larger group of companies.

They work on a range of projects which includes residential for the public and private sectors including large scale regeneration, new build affordable housing, student accommodation, high value private homes, schools, universities and healthcare projects.

THE CANDIDATE

  • You will be a Project Manager with a Degree or MSc in Construction Project Management or similar Built Environment subject.
  • You may already be chartered with the RICS / CIOB or you may be either keen to work towards becoming chartered or already working towards chartership and support will be given to help with training towards APC.
  • Ideally you will be working for a firm of construction consultants or with a multi discipline consultants.
  • You need to have four years or more project management experience working on building construction projects.
  • You should be able to help to organise and run meetings, take minutes, make sure that the client's brief is adhered to and be able to keep the project moving towards completion both on time and within budget.
  • You must have excellent written and spoken English and be confident in dealing with people at all levels including architects, consulting engineers, contractors and stakeholders.
  • You should be forward thinking and ambitious with excellent client facing skills.
  • You should have your own transport to go from office in Kent / SE London borders to site in Croydon.

Salary will be negotiable according to your level of experience and will be in the range of GBP50000 to GBP70000 plus car allowance of GBP3000 plus 4% pension and other benefits.
