Project Manager – Major Mechanical Construction

Location: South West England
Employment: Permanent

ENG Bauen is supporting several Project Manager appointments across a major UK capital programme involving complex heavy-industrial construction and significant mechanical and piping installation.

The Project Managers will take ownership of defined building/package scopes, coordinating Engineering, Construction, Commercial, Planning, Quality, HSE and Commissioning to deliver safely, on programme and within commercial objectives. The client is open to both established Project Managers and high-potential construction professionals ready to progress into broader project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of defined project/building delivery scopes.
  • Manage delivery from engineering and construction through completion and handover.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary Engineering, Construction and project teams.
  • Manage schedule, cost, risk, change and project performance.
  • Drive contractor and subcontractor delivery.
  • Manage interfaces across mechanical, piping, structural and supporting disciplines.
  • Work closely with Planning, Commercial, HSE, Quality and Commissioning.
  • Chair progress meetings and drive actions through to closure.
  • Identify constraints, programme risks and recovery requirements.
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.

The Background

We are interested in candidates with experience across:

  • Major construction, EPC/EPCM or capital-project delivery.
  • Mechanical, piping, Oil & Gas, petrochemical, power, process or heavy-industrial projects.
  • Project Manager, Package Manager, Construction Manager or Senior Project Engineer positions.
  • Management of multidisciplinary project interfaces.
  • Construction planning, commercial awareness, change and risk.
  • Contractor and supply-chain management.
  • Delivery through construction, completion and handover.
