The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and confident Project Manager to join a rapidly scaling Aerospace engineering business in Gloucestershire.

You will be responsible for managing projects through the full project lifecycle, taking responsibility for budgets, delivery, and stakeholder management for complex engineering projects.

You'll need to be comfortable working in an evolving and scaling business, whilst working closely with global OEMs in the aerospace and defence sector.

Duties

  • Developing detailed project plans, setting timelines, defining milestones.
  • Coordinating and overseeing cross-functional teams.
  • Managing project budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying cost-saving activities.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for internal & external stakeholders.
  • Identifying potential project risks & implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Implementing Lessons Learnt to improve continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Developing standardised project management processes to support function growth.

Background

  • Project management within manufacturing, engineering or technical environment.
  • Experience in aerospace, defence or space.
  • A track record of running multiple projects concurrently.
  • Commercial awareness across budgets, cost and planning.
  • Excellent use of MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Obtained PM qualifications (APM, PMP or PRINCE2).
  • Exposure to AS9100 and OEM customer-specific programme requirements.
