Affinity Water are looking for 2x experienced Project Managers to join our Capital Delivery Team.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Capital Delivery team and lead the successful delivery of complex capital investment projects that improve operational resilience, ensure regulatory compliance, protect the environment and maintain a reliable water supply for our customers.
What you'll be doing:
As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of complex capital projects, leading multidisciplinary teams through all stages of the project lifecycle while ensuring the highest standards of safety, governance, quality, and performance. You’ll balance cost, risk, and performance, making informed decisions to deliver projects efficiently and maximize value for our customers and the business.
Some of the Key responsibilities include:
- Embed a culture of safety across all project activities, ensuring compliance with Affinity Water's health and safety policies, procedures, and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
- Deliver projects to the required quality, within agreed timescales and budget.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors, consultants, internal teams, and other stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Prepare, maintain, and implement Project Management Plans to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Manage the administration of NEC4 contracts, including Early Warning Notices, the Risk Reduction Register, Compensation Events, and associated meetings.
- Manage project budgets and ensure timely submission of expenditure forecasts.
- Report and investigate SHEQ non-conformances, near misses, and incidents.
- Proactively monitor project progress and interdependencies, resolving issues and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to verify implementation of safety and quality standards.

This role is based at our Head Office in Hatfield and includes regular travel to operational sites across the Affinity Water region.
What you'll need:
- Proven experience delivering complex capital projects within the utilities, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
- Working knowledge and practical experience of administering NEC contracts.
- Experience managing project risk, programme, cost, and change.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP, or equivalent Project Management qualification.
- IOSH, SMSTS, or NEBOSH certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Benefits:
- Salary: £43,000 - £54,000 (salary dependant on skills and experience)
- Hours: 08:30am - 17:00pm (mon - thurs) 08:30am - 16:30pm (friday)
