About The Role…
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Core Controls team and lead the successful delivery of automation, control systems and engineering projects. This is a highly visible role where you'll be responsible for balancing project delivery, commercial performance, team leadership and client relationship management while supporting the continued growth of the business.
Working closely with customers, engineers, technicians and key stakeholders, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while identifying opportunities to strengthen client partnerships and develop new business.
As a Project Manager you will...
- Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams, providing direction, support and accountability throughout the project lifecycle
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
- Develop and manage project programmes, resources, budgets and delivery plans to meet customer and business requirements
- Monitor project performance, risks, costs and progress, implementing corrective actions where required
- Identify and pursue opportunities for repeat business, additional services and long-term client partnerships
- Prepare and present project reports, financial updates and performance metrics to customers and senior management
- Develop project proposals, support business development activities and represent the business at industry events and customer meetings
- Drive quality, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery activities
- Ensure adherence to company procedures and management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001

About You…
You are an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex engineering, automation, electrical or industrial projects. You combine strong commercial awareness with excellent leadership and communication skills, enabling you to build trusted relationships with both customers and project teams.
You'll be comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, balancing competing priorities and ensuring projects remain on track financially and operationally. Most importantly, you'll be passionate about delivering outstanding outcomes for customers while contributing to the growth and success of the business.

Essential:
- Proven experience in a Project Manager role within an engineering, electrical, controls, automation or industrial environment
- Strong project planning, scheduling and resource management skills
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting and financial performance
- Excellent client-facing, relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience identifying, managing and mitigating project risks
- Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience delivering industrial automation, control systems, SCADA or electrical engineering projects
- Formal project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent)
- Experience supporting business development, proposals or sales activities
- Knowledge of NEC contracts or other commercial frameworks
- Familiarity with ISO management systems and regulated industry environments
