Crux Product Design Project Manager Role

Crux Product Design is looking for a talented Project Manager to join our project management team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career and work on some of the world’s most exciting product development projects.

In this role, you will work with our multi-disciplinary design and engineering teams to project manage the development of medical and consumer goods devices, from concept through to production. This is a key position of responsibility and your success in this role will be central to the success of the company.

We need an innovative, experienced and delivery-focused individual with the drive and enthusiasm to push forward relentlessly in a fast-paced and supportive team environment.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple design and development projects, ranging from initial concept, product definition, design & development, and transfer to manufacture
  • Leading and working with the project teams to solve challenging design, mechanical engineering, electronics, and software challenges
  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and risks
  • Ensuring clear communication and awareness of project status with respect to timeline, budget, and quality with internal stakeholders at all levels including Directors
  • Managing, allocating, and approving resource for projects, and managing interdependencies between projects
  • Managing relationships with our clients, building trust and collaboration
  • Capturing business opportunities from ongoing client project activities
  • Creating project proposals/quotations including defining project schedules and budgets
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of project status to clients and internal stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • A 1st or 2:1 degree in an engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Around 3 years’ project management experience, managing engineering or technology development projects, ideally in medical.
  • A project management track-record gained within a highly technical and team-oriented environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with experience of formal project reporting
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and work flexibly within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an articulate and diplomatic manner
  • Experience of planning multiple parallel tasks and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Ability to track project progress and deliver projects on-time and to budget
  • Ability to address issues as they arise, and both make and drive decisions
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management
