Client-Side Construction Manager (Data Centre) – Hayes
Location: Hayes
Contract: 12 Months
Rate: £600–£750 per day (Outside IR35 status to be confirmed)
We are seeking an experienced Client-Side Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of a major data centre project in Hayes. Reporting directly to the MEP Lead, you will be responsible for managing the overall construction phase, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a key role on a high-profile mission-critical project and requires a candidate with a strong MEP background and demonstrable experience delivering data centre projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day construction activities on behalf of the client.
- Report directly to the MEP Lead, providing regular updates on programme, progress, risks, and key milestones.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor health & safety, quality, and compliance across the site.
- Manage construction sequencing, commissioning readiness, and handover activities.
- Identify and mitigate construction risks and resolve site issues proactively.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and project standards.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Client-Side Construction Manager or similar role.
- Strong MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health) background.
- Previous experience delivering data centre projects is essential.
- Excellent understanding of construction management, commissioning, and project delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
