Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a portfolio of operational, transformation, and performance improvement projects, ensuring agreed outcomes are delivered on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams across Regional Operations and wider business functions, maintaining alignment to strategic objectives and operational priorities.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
- Establish effective project governance, providing regular reporting, progress updates, and performance insights to senior leaders and project sponsors.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, and barriers, escalating where appropriate and driving timely resolution.
- Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to build support, manage expectations, and ensure successful implementation of change.
- Facilitate workshops, project meetings, and review sessions to drive accountability, decision-making, and delivery momentum.
- Track and measure project benefits, ensuring operational improvements are embedded and deliver sustainable performance outcomes.
- Coordinate activities across internal teams, contractors, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered effectively and consistently.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance operational performance, efficiency, customer outcomes, and employee engagement.
- Ensure all project activities are delivered in accordance with Northern Powergrid's safety, governance, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence with the ability to travel across the Northern Powergrid operating area.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree qualified or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent).
- Evidence of continuing professional development in project, programme, or change management.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in a Project Manager or similar role, with a successful track record of delivering multiple projects concurrently within a complex operational environment.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within the utilities sector, with a strong understanding of the energy industry.
- Experience within electricity distribution would be highly advantageous.
