Project Manager - Demolition and Construction

An experienced Project Manager is required to support the delivery of a demolition and construction project at a major food manufacturing facility in Aintree.

The role will involve managing the project through the demolition and construction phases within a live operational environment. The successful contractor will coordinate site activities, manage contractors and act as the key interface between the client, site stakeholders and the wider project team.

Strong stakeholder management and client liaison skills will be essential, along with previous construction experience within the food and beverage, FMCG or a similarly regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the project through the demolition and construction phases.
  • Manage project scope, programme, cost, quality, and safety.
  • Act as the principal day-to-day interface between the client, site stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and the wider project team.
  • Plan and sequence demolition and construction activities.
  • Identify and manage project risks, site constraints, and operational interfaces.
  • Coordinate contractors and monitor performance against agreed milestones.
  • Lead project progress meetings and ensure actions are completed.
  • Provide clear and concise project updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage change control and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Ensure all activities comply with site rules, permit requirements, and relevant health and safety standards.
  • Ensure the works are planned to minimise disruption to live manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Support project handover, close-out, and completion of all deliverables.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
