About the Building Services Team

In our building Services team, we bring Skanska’s purpose to build for a better society to life—creating healthy workplaces, comfortable homes and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. You will be working in the Building Services OU based in Derby Hospital where we are responsible for supporting hospitals nationwide, ensuring clean, well-ventilated, and heated spaces that aid patient recovery. We help cut energy use, carbon emissions, and waste costs, drawing on global best practice from over 400 healthcare projects.

Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Project Manager who will deliver projects across the Healthcare portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and installation of the Lifecycle replacement systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with technical, contractual, and quality requirements.
  • The role acts as the primary point of contact between clients, internal teams, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee design, engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure systems comply with specifications, drawings, standards, and regulations.
  • Coordinate commissioning plans, witness testing, and client demonstrations.
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed (O&M manuals, as-built drawings).
  • Manage projects from order to final handover through commissioning and final handover.

Requirements

  • Qualified to HNC level as a minimum in an appropriate discipline.
  • Member of Association of Project Management or equivalent recognised body.
  • H&S qualification e.g. minimum 4-day IOSH or Construction Certificate.
  • Must achieve DBS enhanced.
  • Experience in managing the delivery of projects in a FM/Healthcare/Live environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering programs of work in line with the requirements of CDM 2015 and experience in fulfilling the duties of Principal Designer and Principal Contractor on single and multi-discipline projects.
  • Be able to communicate effectively and clearly with the client and key client stakeholders.
  • Experienced in producing monthly client reports and internal project reports.
