The Role
Deloitte requires PMs to deliver to key elements of the CLIENT AI Programme. Individual will be working in a programme structure and be responsible for delivery of the key outcomes in one of the programme workstreams. Although the main requirement is for significant project management experience, the candidate will have ideally worked in a complex regulated environment, working closely with senior level business stakeholders, as well as product based technology delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of one or more workstreams within the CLIENT AI Programme, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
- Own end-to-end project management across complex, interdependent workstreams, maintaining momentum, managing priorities, and resolving delivery blockers.
- Work closely with senior business stakeholders, product teams, technology delivery teams, and governance forums to ensure alignment on scope, dependencies, risks, and decisions.
- Provide clear leadership in a highly regulated environment, ensuring delivery approaches are appropriate to financial services controls, governance, and assurance requirements.
- Manage delivery risk proactively, identifying issues early, assessing impact, and implementing mitigation plans across project and portfolio dependencies.
- Exercise sound judgement in delivery decisions, including prioritisation, trade-offs, escalation, and resolution of competing demands.
- Lead stakeholder engagement at senior and executive level, influencing outcomes, resolving tensions, and driving cross-functional alignment.
- Prepare and present concise, authoritative reporting on progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions for senior governance and steering forums.
- Support the implementation of AI solutions, with particular focus on Agentic AI where relevant, ensuring delivery is aligned to business objectives and operational readiness.
- Where applicable, manage the delivery of HR-related transformation activity, including technology implementation, business change, and stakeholder adoption.
- Coordinate business change, readiness, and transition activities to ensure successful adoption of new AI-enabled ways of working.
- Oversee budget, forecasting, and commercial performance for assigned workstreams, ensuring value for money and taking corrective action where tolerances are at risk.
- Apply appropriate project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks, tailoring them to the complexity and risk profile of the programme.
- Lead, coach, and develop project team members where line management or matrix leadership responsibilities apply, building sustainable delivery capability.
- Navigate organisational and political complexity effectively, using influence and relationship management to drive progress and secure outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
