The Role: Construction Project Manager
Sector: Luxury Hotel & Grounds
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum + bonus + exceptional benefits
Location: Somerset
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a small, high-performing development team responsible for delivering a diverse and inspiring programme of capital projects across a luxury country estate and hotel in Somerset.
Working closely with in-house designers, commercial managers and fellow project managers, you will plan, procure and manage a wide range of works—from new-build construction, gardens and landscape projects to exhibitions, renovations and improvements to existing facilities. You will take lead responsibility for specific projects, running them successfully from inception through to completion, while supporting the wider team to deliver on time, on budget and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, procure and manage multiple projects across the estate, acting as the primary point of contact for contractors and consultants.
- Maintain rigorous project processes, cost controls and reporting, presenting regular updates to the development team and senior stakeholders.
- Monitor progress on site, ensuring high standards of workmanship, health & safety compliance and adherence to all relevant regulations.
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, resolving issues proactively to keep programmes on track.
- Manage project information, drawings and resources, supporting administration of invoices, payments and purchasing as required.

What you’ll bring
- A degree-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a closely related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in a construction project management role, ideally with client-side exposure.
- Strong knowledge of construction trades, materials, technologies and best practice across new build, refurbishment and landscape projects.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employers, colleagues, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
- Confidence using project management tools and software, coupled with a proactive, detail-oriented and results-driven approach.
- A full driving licence and genuine passion for construction, design, heritage and innovation.
- Calm under pressure, adaptable and resilient, you will be a natural organiser who thrives on structure yet can flex when priorities shift. Collaborative by nature, you will inspire confidence, foster teamwork and take pride in delivering projects that enhance a truly special environment.
