About The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join an established and well-regarded civil engineering and construction contractor, working on a range of projects across the North East of Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction to take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, subcontractors, site teams, and senior management to ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially, and to programme.

  • Manage project programmes, budgets, resources, and delivery strategies.
  • Lead and support Site Managers, Engineers, and wider project teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Manage client relationships and act as the main point of contact throughout project delivery.
  • Monitor project performance, costs, progress, and commercial performance.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist contractors.
  • Review and manage project programmes, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure all necessary project documentation, RAMS, permits, and quality requirements are in place.
  • Attend regular client and internal project meetings.
  • Manage variations, change control, and contractual requirements.
  • Identify and manage project risks throughout the lifecycle of each project.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to ensure financial targets are achieved.
  • Ensure projects are completed to the required quality standards and within agreed timescales.
  • Support the development of junior members of the project and site teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
