Project Manager – High Security
Manchester | Hybrid working with regular site travel | £50,000–£60,000 DOE + company vehicle
The Details:
- Location: Manchester, hybrid working with regular site travel
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Salary: £50,000–£60,000, depending on experience
- Benefits: Company vehicle included
This is an opportunity to lead complex, high-security projects for a long-established family business with a strong reputation for technical quality. You will take ownership of delivery from planning through to handover, working closely with clients, site teams, and senior leaders to ensure projects are safe, commercially successful, and completed to a high standard.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our High Security team. In this key role, you will manage high-security projects across site and office environments, taking responsibility for commissioning documentation, commercial performance, and technical delivery. You will help ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the standards our clients expect.
You will coordinate contracts from planning and scheduling through to execution, completion, and handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. You will also support business growth by identifying opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and working closely with senior management.

Key Responsibilities
Project & Technical Delivery
- Oversee the delivery of Gallagher PIDS and associated control systems, including hardware, software, and accessories.
- Manage automated access control equipment, including commissioning and handover activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, equipment, and software required for delivery.
- Lead and coordinate technical staff to ensure high-quality installation and commissioning.
Commercial & Contract Management
- Coordinate all stages of assigned contracts from planning to completion.
- Organise RAMS and ensure project teams work in line with agreed safety requirements.
- Negotiate and raise interim and final payment applications.
- Authorise invoices where applicable within Sage.
Compliance, Quality & Safety
- Ensure adherence to all company and supplier health & safety, environmental, and quality policies.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge, certifications, and industry standards.
- Support installers in achieving relevant certifications and training.
- Assist the business in achieving new accreditations.
Client & Business Development

- Conduct regular site visits and maintain strong client relationships.
- Represent and promote the business to identify new opportunities and contracts.
- Attend internal and external meetings as required.
- Contribute to departmental targets and overall business objectives.
About You
Essential:
- Experience in a Project Manager or similar role within security, access control, or a technical engineering environment.
- Good working knowledge of hardware and software commissioning, ideally within high-security systems.
- Excellent organisational, commercial, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
- Willingness to undergo CRB and security vetting.
Desirable:
- Experience working with Gallagher systems or similar security technologies.
- Industry certifications relevant to security or engineering disciplines.
- Experience supporting business development or accreditations.
