Position Description
At CGI, our Project Managers turn complex transformation into measurable outcomes. You will lead high-value IT projects for a major energy client, bringing together ERP, including SAP S/4HANA, Operations/HSE and Digital & Analytics delivery in a complex multi-vendor environment. You’ll have the ownership to shape delivery, apply creative thinking to solve challenges and help introduce safe, production-ready change in a highly regulated setting. Working alongside CGI and client experts, you’ll combine robust governance with Agile techniques where appropriate, supported by CGI’s proven methods, global delivery capability and deep sector expertise. This is an opportunity to influence critical transformation, strengthen client outcomes and grow your career within a collaborative community that supports you to succeed.
CGI was recognized in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.
This is a hybrid role based in Aberdeen and requires regular on-site presence, typically three days per week, enabling close collaboration with CGI and client teams.
Your Future Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will take ownership of planning and delivering complex IT integration and transformation projects, providing the structure, governance and momentum needed to achieve successful outcomes. Working within client PMO and stage-gate processes, you will coordinate cross-functional teams spanning ERP, Operations/HSE, infrastructure and Digital & Analytics while maintaining clear oversight of scope, budgets, risks and dependencies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
