Business Project Manager

2-year FTC

3 days onsite in Leeds (negotiable)

£70,000 p/a


WRK Digital are proud to be recruiting for a Business Project Manager to join one of our vibrant and fast-moving manufacturing clients. They have an exciting Making Business Easier (MBE) Programme, and this role will play a key part in the delivery of their Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiative.

As a Business Project Manager within the MBE Programme, you will lead the delivery of this initiative, managing project plans, budgets, resources, risks and governance to ensure successful delivery against agreed objectives and timelines. Working closely with the Initiative Owner, IT Business Partner and cross-functional stakeholders, you will help design, implement and embed improved processes, data and ways of working.

This is a two-year fixed-term contract, with a hybrid working arrangement based out of their central Leeds office, requiring attendance a couple of times per week.

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, ensuring scope, milestones and deliverables are delivered successfully.
  • Managing project scope and change control processes.
  • Monitoring budgets, forecasts and project spend to ensure cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinating internal and external resources to support successful project delivery.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with business, technical and data teams to ensure solutions meet operational and commercial requirements.
  • Managing project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies through effective RAID processes.
  • Ensuring deliverables meet required quality, compliance and documentation standards.

As Business Project Manager, you will have:

  • Proven experience delivering complex business change, transformation or technology projects, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Experience delivering PLM solutions, with knowledge of platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, SAP PLM, Oracle Agile PLM, Dassault ENOVIA, Infor PLM or similar.
  • Strong project management experience across Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2 or equivalent methodologies.
  • Relevant project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or Certified Scrum Master.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Microsoft Office and related project management tools.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong risk, issue and change management capabilities, including RAID management.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers or implementation partners is desirable.
