Project Manager | Power Transmission

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to lead critical infrastructure projects that help power the UK's future? Capula, part of the EDF Group, is a leading advanced system integration specialist delivering operational technology and digital transformation solutions across some of the UK's most regulated industries. With a strong track record across Energy, Power Transmission, Water, Renewables and Manufacturing, we're seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team and deliver protection and control system upgrades for National Grid and other major customers.
The Opportunity
As Project Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of projects ranging from £50k to £2m, managing them from inception through to successful delivery. Working within the Power Transmission sector, you'll lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven project professional with experience in engineering or regulated industries who enjoys leading teams, engaging with customers, and delivering complex technical projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects from award through to completion
- Deliver projects to agreed scope, budget, programme, and quality targets
- Take full financial ownership and commercial responsibility
- Lead and motivate teams of hardware, software, and installation engineers
- Manage subcontractors and external suppliers
- Build strong relationships with National Grid and other key customers
- Conduct regular progress reviews and project reporting
- Identify and mitigate commercial, technical, and delivery risks
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety requirements
- Support future business growth through exceptional customer delivery
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven Project Management experience within engineering, utilities, power transmission, or a similarly regulated environment
- Experience using Microsoft Project for planning and scheduling
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to proactively manage risks and issues
- Demonstrable success delivering projects to timescale, budget, and customer expectations
- Experience managing subcontractors
- Leadership experience managing and motivating project teams
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites when required

Desirable
- Knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
- APM Practitioner qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting proposals, tenders, and bid activities
