Company Description

Based in Dundee and Glasgow and operating throughout the UK, Caledonia Contracts delivers high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across retail, commercial, office, hospitality and industrial sectors. Founded in 1997, the company has built a strong reputation for collaborative working, attention to detail and reliable project delivery. Project values range from £10k to £4m, often delivered in live environments and to demanding timescales without compromising on quality or safety. An in-house bespoke joinery division with a 10,000 sq ft workshop provides tailored joinery solutions.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Glasgow. The Project Manager will oversee fit-out and refurbishment projects from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation and budget control.

  • Coordinating with clients, designers, consultants and subcontractors
  • Managing site activities
  • Ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to specification

The role involves:

  • Monitoring progress
  • Resolving issues
  • Managing change
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting with projects across the country

The Project Manager will also support quality assurance, health and safety, and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

  • Strong project management skills, with minimum 3 years site management experience and proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Expeditor and Expediting skills to ensure timely procurement, delivery and coordination of materials and services.
  • Inspection capabilities to oversee site quality checks, compliance with specifications and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Logistics Management skills to plan and control site logistics, sequencing of works and supply chain coordination.
  • Relevant experience in construction, fit-out or refurbishment environments, preferably within retail, commercial or office sectors.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project planning and reporting tools, with solid organisational and problem-solving abilities.
