About Us
Here at Pick Everard, we are passionate about creating a prosperous and sustainable future, taking a fresh perspective on the built environment. Our core values of professionalism, compassion, drive and positivity are at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our London office, working as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering projects. You will play a key role in driving stakeholder and design management activities, often focusing on the early stages of project development to help shape successful outcomes from inception.
You'll become part of a growing national division, supporting a diverse portfolio of design and sustainability projects, including our work with the Ministry of Justice's Future Prisons Programme; a long-term sole supplier framework that is expected to continue over several years.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will take direct ownership of project delivery rather than simply overseeing others. You will be actively involved in problem-solving, decision-making, and managing project outcomes, working closely with clients and project teams to ensure successful delivery at every stage.
Your Core Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading communication and coordination with clients and key stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring project requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
- Developing and managing project programmes, overseeing design coordination, change management, risk management, and financial control throughout all RIBA stages.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure project outputs align with the client brief, programme requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
- Managing client and subconsultant contracts, including the procurement and oversight of specialist providers, ensuring contractual and commercial obligations are met.
- Preparing and maintaining key project documentation, including Project Execution Plans (PEPs), Strategy Reports, Risk Registers, Progress Reports, and other project governance information.
- Leading and chairing meetings with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors, ensuring actions, decisions, and outcomes are clearly documented and followed through.
- Working closely with clients from project inception to understand, develop, and refine their brief, applying a solutions-focused approach to deliver successful and mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Taking a proactive approach to project delivery, identifying opportunities, resolving challenges, and ensuring projects remain aligned with client objectives, programme requirements, and business goals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
