Digital Project Manager
Salary: National £40,778–£43,000 pro rata; Greater London+ £43,903–£45,411 pro rata
Location: Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth or Cambridge
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Contract: Fixed-term until 30 September 2028
Hours: Full-time
Overview
Our client, a national public-sector organisation, is looking for a Digital Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of digital and technology projects across systems, data and services.
You will work closely with technology colleagues and business stakeholders to deliver user-focused digital solutions, drive continuous improvement and ensure projects are operationally ready and capable of delivering lasting organisational benefits.
The role offers hybrid working alongside a defined benefit pension with a 28.97% employer contribution, 28 days’ holiday and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of digital and technology projects.
- Support delivery of a wider portfolio of digital systems, data and services.
- Work closely with technology colleagues and business stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Use agile or hybrid delivery approaches as appropriate.
- Drive continuous improvement and deliver user-focused digital solutions.
- Ensure systems and processes are fully documented and operationally ready.
- Present project progress and recommendations to stakeholders to support effective decision-making.
- Help ensure digital investment supports organisational priorities and delivers lasting benefits.

Requirements
- Experience managing digital or technology projects.
- Experience using agile or hybrid delivery approaches.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including managing conflicting priorities.
- Ability to present project progress to stakeholders and make recommendations that support decision-making.
