About the Company

We are partnering with a leading global payments and financial technology organisation seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead strategic business initiatives, enterprise transformation programmes, and integration projects across a complex international environment.

About the Role

This is a high-profile role requiring a commercially minded delivery leader who can operate at executive level, drive cross-functional alignment, and successfully deliver large-scale business change programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of a complex payments customer migration programme.
  • Drive product gap analysis and coordinate closure activities required for successful migration.
  • Work closely with Product and Technology teams to ensure migration requirements are delivered on time.
  • Manage end-to-end migration planning, scope, timelines, dependencies, and risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple business areas to support migration readiness.
  • Track programme progress and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain governance forums, steering committees, and delivery updates.
  • Manage stakeholder communications across business, technology, and leadership teams.
  • Ensure quality assurance, operational readiness, and successful customer transition.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Support executive-level decision-making through clear reporting and escalation management.
  • Drive accountability and alignment across business, product, and technology functions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale strategic programmes within Financial Services, Payments, FinTech, Banking, Treasury or Corporate Payments environments.
  • Strong background leading enterprise-wide transformation and business change initiatives.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex integration programmes, including post-merger or post-acquisition activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior executives and leadership teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to align programme delivery with business objectives.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication, governance, reporting, and risk management skills.

Required Skills

  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience within highly regulated financial environments.
  • Exposure to international or global programme delivery.

Pay range and compensation package

  • Contract Type: Outside IR35
  • Location: London
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
  • Duration: Initial contract with extension potential
