PROJECT MANAGER – IT CHANGE AND TRANSFORMATION
Location: Solihull
Salary: £65,000 per annum
Hybrid working: 3 days office | 2 days home
We are looking for an exceptional Project Manager to play a key role in delivering a significant programme of IT change and transformation for one of our key clients.
This is a hands-on delivery role for a highly capable Project Manager who can take ownership of complex technology-led projects, create structure and momentum, and drive delivery from initial scoping through to successful implementation.
Working across technology, operations and the wider business, you will bring together multiple stakeholders, manage competing priorities and ensure projects are delivered to the agreed scope, quality, budget and timescales.
This role requires more than project coordination. We need a confident and resilient Project Manager who will challenge constructively, make things happen and maintain control in a fast-moving and complex environment.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT change and transformation projects
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success measures
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones and delivery roadmaps
- Manage project budgets, resources, risks, issues and dependencies
- Coordinate internal teams, technical specialists and third-party suppliers
- Establish clear governance, reporting and decision-making processes
- Produce concise and accurate updates for senior stakeholders and governance forums
- Identify delivery risks early and take decisive action to address them
- Manage changes to project scope, timelines and priorities
- Hold stakeholders, delivery teams and suppliers accountable for agreed actions
- Translate technical requirements and challenges into clear business language
- Ensure solutions are operationally ready and effectively embedded across the business
- Support stakeholder engagement, communication and business change activity
- Track project outcomes and ensure expected benefits are realised
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery methods and controls

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a strong, delivery-focused Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing complex IT change and transformation projects.
You will be comfortable working with senior leaders, operational teams, technology specialists and external partners. You will bring clarity to ambiguity, remain composed under pressure and have the confidence to challenge decisions or behaviours that could put delivery at risk.
You will combine robust project governance with a pragmatic and commercially aware approach. Most importantly, you will take ownership and be personally driven to deliver tangible results.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Significant experience delivering complex IT, technology or digital change projects
- A strong record of managing projects from initiation through to implementation
- Experience delivering projects with multiple workstreams, stakeholders and dependencies
- Excellent project planning, governance and delivery-management skills
- Strong risk, issue, dependency and change-control management
- Experience managing budgets, resources and project financials
- Confidence producing and presenting project updates to senior stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
- Experience managing technology suppliers and third-party delivery partners
- Ability to challenge constructively and drive accountability across project teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Experience supporting business readiness, implementation and change adoption
- A delivery-led mindset with exceptional organisation and attention to detail

DESIRABLE
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM, Scrum or an equivalent project management qualification
- Experience delivering large-scale business or technology transformation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Planner, Jira or similar tools
- Experience within recruitment, professional services or a multi-site organisation
- Change management experience or a recognised change qualification
