Job Description

Job Summary:

As Project Manager within Teledyne e2v RF Power you will work with a cross-functional team and be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role involves managing project scope, plan, risks, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

Detailed Description:

  • Manage complex cross-functional delivery of R&D and customer funded projects, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to align project plans, resource needs, and delivery milestones, operating effectively in a matrix structure.
  • Maintain robust customer and stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication of project goals, risks, and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement and champion project management best practices, tools, and governance processes across the portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project; manage reporting through Project Server and other PM tools.
  • Coordinate timely Phase Gate Reviews and ensure that project scope, risks, and dependencies are clearly defined, managed, and escalated as needed.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, working closely with the Finance team to analyse forecasts, estimate-to-complete (ETC), and risk-adjusted cost exposure.
  • Prepare and present regular project dashboards and performance updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support sales and business development efforts by contributing to bids and the technical proposals in collaboration with engineering and commercial teams.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of managing engineering projects through all or part of the lifecycle from bid to production, with an emphasis on new product development.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and avoid unwanted scope creep.
  • Persuasive and clear communication skills across all levels of the business.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in the use and understanding of Project Management / resource tools such as undefined.
  • Knowledge and qualification in APM Body of Knowledge, PRINCE2, PMP methodologies.
  • A working knowledge of SAP would be beneficial.
