M&E Coordinator – Civils / Infrastructure – North West

Location

North West based (Liverpool / wider Merseyside / NW patch). Primarily site‑based on major infrastructure / public‑realm schemes, with genuine hybrid flexibility when work allows.

The Opportunity

Electrically biased M&E Coordinator role on major civils / infrastructure projects in the North West – think external electrical infrastructure: street lighting, power pillars, LV distribution, comms/ITS and all the interfaces with the civils works. You’ll be the go‑to person for coordinating M&E on these schemes: joining the dots between design, utilities, subcontractors and site teams, making sure installations are buildable, compliant and delivered safely to programme. It’s a hands‑on, visible role with real ownership and clear progression into senior M&E management.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinating M&E/electrical subcontractors delivering:
  • Street lighting, lamp columns and feeder / power pillars
  • LV cabling routes, containment and terminations
  • Comms / ITS networks, ducts, chambers and associated cabling
• Planning and sequencing M&E works alongside civils (ducts, trenches, chambers, bases, service diversions).
• Reviewing drawings, SLDs and specs; spotting clashes / gaps and driving resolutions with designers and engineers.
• Tracking progress against programme, snagging installations and supporting testing / commissioning / handover.
• Owning M&E QA and document control – as‑builts, test certs, commissioning records, O&Ms.
• Helping shape RAMS and safe systems of work for M&E activities, and reinforcing safety on site.
• Liaising with clients, utilities and highways/local authorities to resolve technical and phasing issues.
