Project Manager – Fire & Security
Due to continued growth, Alarm Communication Limited (ACL) is looking to appoint an additional Project Manager to join our established and expanding team.
We are seeking an experienced and technically minded Project Manager with a strong background in the Fire & Security industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with either a proven project management track record or a strong engineering background looking to progress into a senior delivery role.
The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of multiple commercial Fire & Security projects ranging from £50,000 to £1 million, managing internal engineers and approved subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards.
This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment and has experience managing large-scale, integrated security or life safety systems from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of Fire & Security projects across key client accounts, ensuring exceptional service standards and client satisfaction throughout.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders during all phases of project delivery.
- Lead and coordinate internal engineering teams and specialist subcontractors across multiple live projects.
- Prepare project quotations and pricing for additional works and variations in support of the commercial and sales functions.
- Ensure defect rectification and remedial works are completed efficiently and to agreed quality standards.
- Take ownership of major project programmes, ensuring all contractual obligations, technical requirements, and site standards are achieved.
- Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting, work-in-progress reviews, applications for payment, and invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with all SHEQ requirements, including RAMS preparation, audits, and management reporting.
- Support the ongoing development of the wider team, promoting continuous improvement and a positive, high-performing culture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
