The Operational Development Team (ODT)

The Operational Development Team (ODT) sits within the Strategic Commissioning Department and supports System Improvement across the Adult’s and Children’s Social Care Departments, focused on IT system and process improvement. We are two years into an ambitious three-year multimillion-pound programme to migrate the Social Care Case Management and Finance Systems onto a new Platform (Eclipse).

To support the final stage of the programme (the migration of our Social Care Finance systems) we need the support of a Project Manager, to take day-to-day charge oversight of this important project.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operational Development Manager, who is the Programme Lead for this project, the officer will be responsible for day-to-day management of the project, including liaising with a range of key stakeholders, including the various internal Finance teams, key IT suppliers, and external care providers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
