Project Manager – Own our projects from bid to through-life support, and build the PMO

Location: Exeter, UK (Clyst Honiton) — Onsite and at customer facilities
Travel: Yes
Salary: Competitive + benefits + expenses
Type: Full-time, permanent

About Rapid Fusion

Rapid Fusion designs, builds and delivers large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) systems for polymer components, from our R&D centre at Skypark in Exeter. Every pellet extruder and robotic 3D-printing cell we make is designed and built in the UK. We supply customers in aerospace and defence (including the MOD), automotive, construction and marine, as well as universities and research centres, directly and through resellers worldwide. We move fast, and every system we ship is a project in its own right.

The Role

We're looking for a Project Manager to take our customer and internal projects from first bid to long-term support, and to put in place the project management structure a growing technology business needs.

You'll run each project end to end: from the bid and project initiation, through ordering components, manufacturing and installation, to acceptance testing, customer training and through-life support. You'll also lead internal projects as we grow, such as new facilities, systems and process improvements.

This is our first dedicated project management role, so you'll set the standard. You'll design and roll out a compliant project framework that fits our ISO 9001 quality system and the needs of aerospace and defence customers. As the business grows, the role has clear room to establish a Project Management Office (PMO) and build and lead a project management team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
