Role Description

This full-time, Project Manager role is based in Blackpool and is responsible for overseeing utility and construction projects from initiation to completion. The Project Manager will plan and coordinate project activities, manage schedules, budgets, and resources, and ensure that work aligns with technical specifications and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams, monitoring project progress, and addressing risks or issues that may affect delivery. The role also involves preparing project documentation and reports, driving continuous improvement in processes, and promoting a culture of safety and quality on site.

  • Strong project management skills, including experience in planning, executing, and closing construction or utilities projects.
  • Proficiency in expediting and working as an expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Experience with inspection processes to verify compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of logistics management to coordinate supply chains, site deliveries, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, prioritize tasks, and work to tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with project management software and standard office applications.
  • Relevant professional qualification or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is desirable.
  • Previous experience in the construction or utilities sector is highly beneficial.
