Project Manager
Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of projects within the Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas industries. The role involves cost management, procurement, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure that projects are completed punctually, within budget constraints, and to the highest standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
The role duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Build and maintain strong collaborative customer relationships at all levels aligned to account management strategy.
- Assume accountability and authority for all project execution phases drawing upon the support and coordination of internal group stakeholders such as engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, QHSE and test team.
- Assumes accountabilities for all commercial, contractual, and technical project deliverables working as customer point of contact and collaborating with internal stakeholder in supporting roles.
- Create baseline project plan, monitor, and manage activities across all stakeholder groups including supply chain and subcontractors. Manage and delegate activities including key subcontracts to planned deliverables.
- Create and manage project risk and opportunity register and contingency to mitigate identified concerns in a timely manner meet project margin and schedule.
- Set project budget, cost/revenue profile, application/invoicing, and milestone payment schedule in conjunction with sales/tendering, project cost accountant and other stakeholders, as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for margin improvement through cost out initiatives and customer variation order process where appropriate.
- Approve and submit all customer project documentation in line with agreed MDR and milestone dates.
- Prepare internal and customer weekly/monthly reports to update senior management and customers, escalating high-level issues where necessary.
- Actively lead and contribute to organization business improvement of systems, processes and procedures through robust project lessons learned, NCR management and structured management of change.
- Evaluates technical design solutions to ensure alignment with customer requirements and specific technical challenges should they arise.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Mandatory
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar roles in the offshore wind or oil and gas industry.
- Experience in all aspects of general Project Management gained through delivery of several subsea industry related projects across a range of customers.
- Experience of leading multi-disciplined project teams from project inception through to completion, covering key areas of tendering, engineering, supply chain, manufacture, commissioning, and offshore service.
- Knowledge and experience of the challenges and complexities of delivering projects within Subsea, Renewable Offshore environment, flexibles, cable, umbilical or subsea protection. Stability knowledge would be an advantage.
- QHSE leadership and continuous improvement focused.
- Experience in multi-tasking while managing tight deadlines.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Desirable
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree qualified in relevant technical subject would be an advantage.
- HNC/HND or equivalent in technical engineering and/or project subject.
- Formal Project Management qualification such as APM, or Prince 2.
- ILM Level 3 or greater.
- Ability to demonstrate strong commercial, contractual, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
