Automotive Projects Team Leader

Location

Midlands (with regular travel to our Huddersfield office)

Purpose Of The Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Automotive Projects team, managing the successful delivery of a variety of UK retail interior projects.

Working from home, applicants from anywhere across the wider Midlands region are welcome, with regular travel to our head office in Huddersfield and to client and project sites across the UK is required. For this role, the Midlands can include areas such as Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Wolverhampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Northampton and surrounding areas, so you do not need to be based in one particular Midlands city.

In this role you will plan and manage the delivery of a variety of UK retail interior projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, to the required quality and within cost parameters that achieve the required profit margins.

You will work directly with clients from the Automotive industry to develop and implement a detailed plan to achieve project objectives.

UK wide travel will be required including regular visits to our head office in Huddersfield.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the quotation and tender process to achieve project budget and monitor margins accordingly.
  • Create and manage project documentation, including Statements of Work, programmes, RAMS, drawings, and completion documents.
  • Identify, monitor and manage potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on price, delivery dates and quality.
  • Negotiate with clients on quotations, pricing and completion.
  • Provide regular and accurate reports on project status updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Build internal relationships and work effectively as part of a wider team of creatives, project managers, and technical designers.
  • Act as a point of contact to clients, developing new work opportunities whilst upselling and re-selling to existing clients.
  • Maintain regular and clear communication lines with suppliers and contractors during the manufacture and delivery process.
  • Attend or arrange site meetings as required for the success of the project.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the project execution.
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen in everyday transactions, lead by example, making decisions and resolving problems effectively.
  • Be a brand ambassador, always representing our business in a professional manner.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
