Project Manager – Software & Infrastructure Projects

1-2 days a week onsite in Luton (Ad hoc travel as/when required)
Up to £65 p/h Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to support the delivery of software, infrastructure and technology remediation projects within a large-scale digital transformation environment.

Working alongside the Programme Manager, you will take ownership of individual projects, ensuring they are planned, coordinated and delivered against agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of software, infrastructure and technology projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones and dependencies.
  • Coordinate internal technical teams, business stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, ensuring appropriate escalation where required.
  • Monitor project progress, performance and delivery against agreed milestones.
  • Produce clear governance, status and management reporting.
  • Support effective budget, resource and delivery management.
  • Ensure projects follow relevant organisational governance, security and change management processes.
  • Work closely with Programme Management and technical stakeholders to resolve delivery challenges and maintain momentum.

  • Proven experience delivering software and/or infrastructure projects within enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience delivering software and/or infrastructure projects in enterprise environments.
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
  • Experience with project planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Demonstrable risk and issue management experience.
  • Knowledge of PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience of infrastructure refresh, cloud migration, cyber security, or obsolescence remediation projects.
  • PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP, or equivalent certification.
