Project Manager (Multi-Utility) for OHL Project in Scotland

Our client is looking for a Project Manager (Multi-Utility) to support the delivery of a major OHL project, with the ability to travel to sites, offices, and client locations across Scotland.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with Safety and Quality: Take ownership of project safety standards and quality assurance, ensuring all work meets regulatory and company expectations.
  • Deliver Projects Successfully: Manage timelines, budgets, resources, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Coordinate OHL Works: Oversee OHL activities including upgrade and reinforcement works, tower works, conductor works, associated civils, and site access.
  • Coordinate Multi-Utility Works: Manage associated works including substations, HV connections, excavation, reinstatement, commissioning, and energisation.
  • Manage Site Teams & Subcontractors: Coordinate contractors and site teams across multiple work fronts, ensuring programme and quality requirements are achieved.
  • Communicate and Collaborate: Maintain clear communication with internal teams, subcontractors, external stakeholders, and clients.
  • Stay Organised and Proactive: Maintain project documentation, manage materials and procurement requirements, monitor progress, and participate in project reviews.

Requirements

  • Experience in power distribution/transmission networks and/or multi-utility projects, with a strong background managing multiple sites and teams. (OHL / Substation / HV)
  • Previous experience delivering OHL projects, ideally upgrade, reinforcement, or refurbishment works.
  • Good understanding of OHL construction and associated civil works.
  • Solid construction site knowledge and hands-on project delivery experience.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, programme, budgets, and HSE requirements.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Relevant certifications including SMSTS, ECS/CSCS, First Aid, Manual Handling, and NRSWA Supervisor.
