Role: MEICA Project Manager
As a MEICA Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of MEICA projects from inception through to completion. You will bring strong technical expertise in MEICA installation and proven leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to specification.
You will manage projects in line with NEC contract requirements, ensuring proactive risk management, robust change control, and effective commercial oversight. A key part of the role is driving a positive safety culture, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring clear communication with clients, subcontractors, designers and internal teams.
Projects typically range from £200k to £10m and may include MCC installations/upgrades, control and instrumentation systems, chemical dosing systems, and water/wastewater process plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee MEICA project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, programme and cost targets are achieved.
- Manage operational and financial performance, including reporting, procurement and supply chain management.
- Provide strong leadership across safety, wellbeing and inclusion.
- Coordinate with design teams, construction teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Select and manage innovative methods, materials and safe systems of work.
- Communicate effectively with senior management, clients, consultants and project teams.
- Ensure project outputs meet required standards and support programme outcomes.
- Develop staff capability and maintain high technical standards across project teams.
- Manage contractors and key suppliers, ensuring quality, value for money and resource alignment.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, resolving issues collaboratively.
- Lead both complex and non-complex projects, ensuring compliance with all technical processes and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate design and project interdependencies across wider programme workstreams.
- Identify, manage and resolve risks; track costs and benefits; produce accurate project reporting.
- Manage project-level resources and ensure timely delivery of outputs.
- Oversee stakeholder communications and key project messaging.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or equivalent (HND/HNC).
- 10+ years’ experience delivering multiple MEICA or civil engineering projects.
- Membership or certification with APM (or equivalent).
- SMSTS / SSSTS.
- CSCS card.
- First Aid qualification.
- 5-day SMSTS training.
