Project Description:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering change within the Avaloq core banking platform to join our Change & Transformation function. You will lead end-to-end delivery of technology and business change initiatives across our Banking and Wealth Management divisions, managing project scope, budget, risk, and stakeholders from initiation through to successful go-live.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Avaloq-related projects across Wealth Management, Private Banking, and Operations.
- Own project governance, including project plans, RAID logs, budgets, resource allocation, and status reporting to steering committees and senior stakeholders.
- Manage the full project lifecycle for Avaloq implementations, upgrades, migrations, and parameterization changes.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, QA/testers, and Avaloq vendor consultants.
- Act as the primary point of contact with Avaloq (vendor) project teams, managing scope, timelines, and deliverables against contractual commitments.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, escalating appropriately.
- Drive delivery of regulatory and compliance-related change (e.g. MiFID II, SM&CR, Consumer Duty) impacting the Avaloq platform.
- Oversee UAT planning and execution, release management, and cutover/go-live activities.
- Manage project budgets and forecasts, tracking spend against approved business cases.
- Ensure robust change management and business readiness, including training and communication plans for impacted stakeholders.
- Provide clear, concise reporting to senior management, Programme Boards, and Steering Committees.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with governance standards, methodology, and audit/compliance requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
