Join us and help secure Britain's energy.

About the role

As a Project Manager in our East Region, you'll lead the delivery of construction and asset investment projects across critical gas transmission infrastructure, including compressor station assets and associated rotating machinery. You'll manage projects from concept through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Why this role matters

The East Region is a strategically important part of the Gas Transmission network. It maintains seven compressor stations across Hatton, Peterborough, Cambridge, Huntingdon, King's Lynn, Diss, and Chelmsford, and is home to the Bacton North Sea Gas Terminal. Supported by key corporate and technical teams based in Peterborough, the region plays a vital role in maintaining energy security and operational resilience.

In this role, you'll help deliver investment projects that strengthen critical national infrastructure and support the safe operation of assets that homes, businesses, and communities rely on every day. Your work will help ensure our network remains safe, reliable, and ready to meet future energy needs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
