Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product strategy roadmap and lifecycle management for IBM MQ, ACE, ITX, ITM, and Instana platforms
- Define and maintain multi-quarter product roadmaps covering security, resilience, automation, platform currency, and customer experience
- Drive platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, standardization, decommissioning, and technical debt management
- Prioritize platform demand using risk, customer impact, regulatory, operational, and cost considerations
- Define and enforce platform standards, governance, controls, and reference architectures
- Lead governance forums to manage exceptions, improve standardization, and accelerate platform adoption
- Maintain service catalogs, platform documentation, standards, and consumption patterns
- Own platform service health, availability, performance, resilience, and capacity outcomes
- Define and monitor SLI, SLO, KPI, MTTR, incident trends, and operational performance metrics
- Lead major incident reviews, root cause elimination, reliability engineering, and operational excellence initiatives
- Ensure Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) requirements are defined, tested, and evidenced
- Convert product roadmaps into prioritized backlogs and delivery plans
- Lead platform upgrades, migrations, automation initiatives, monitoring enhancements, and security hardening programs
- Ensure platforms comply with security, risk, audit, and regulatory requirements
- Manage vulnerability remediation, certificate lifecycle management, access controls, and secure platform configurations
- Support audit activities and manage remediation of risk findings
- Act as the primary stakeholder interface for Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Cyber Security, and Application teams
- Drive customer onboarding, platform adoption, and self-service enablement initiatives
- Manage IBM vendor relationships, licensing, support, escalations, and cost optimization activities
- Lead platform standardization and governance decisions across global teams

To be successful in this role you should have
- Strong Product Management or Service Management experience for enterprise middleware, messaging, integration, or observability platforms
- Deep expertise in IBM MQ
- Strong working knowledge of IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)
- Experience with IBM Transformation Extender (ITX)
- Experience with IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) and/or Instana
- Strong platform lifecycle management experience including upgrades, currency programs, deprecation strategies, and technical debt reduction
- Experience managing platform KPIs, SLIs, SLOs, incident management, and service reliability programs
- Strong understanding of Capacity Planning, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery practices
- Proven stakeholder management experience across engineering, security, architecture, and business teams
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments across multiple regions and countries
- Experience managing large IBM MQ estates including
- Multi-platform environments: Linux, Windows, Mainframe
- Upgrade and standardization programs
- Enterprise HADR implementations
- Security controls including mTLS and Certificate Management
- Experience with IBM ACE including
- Integration standards and runtime governance
- Deployment automation
- Environment management
- Performance tuning
- Experience with IBM ITX including
- Map governance
- Version control
- Controlled promotion processes
- Transformation runtime support
- Strong Observability experience with Instana, ITM, or equivalent tools
- Experience building dashboards, monitoring strategies, tuning, and service health reporting
- Experience working within strict audit compliance and change governance environments
- Familiarity with Hybrid Cloud, Containers, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience managing vendor licensing renewals and commercial relationships
- Financial Services experience is highly desirable
