Contract Project Manager – Business Systems
Northamptonshire
4 days per week onsite – non-negotiable
£550–£600 per day | Inside IR35
We are looking for an experienced Contract Project Manager to join a major UK business and take ownership of a high-profile business systems programme.
The project is approaching a critical stage and requires someone who can quickly get up to speed, bring structure and pace to delivery, and maintain a strong onsite presence with the project team and key stakeholders.
This is a hands-on delivery role rather than a purely reporting or governance-focused position. You will be expected to take ownership, manage competing priorities and ensure the programme remains on track.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end project plan, milestones, risks, and dependencies
- Coordinate technical, operational, and third-party teams
- Drive delivery through testing, business readiness, and implementation
- Manage senior stakeholders and provide clear, confident updates
- Identify issues early and escalate decisively where required
- Support user adoption and manage resistance to new systems and processes
- Bring control and momentum to a complex, business-critical programme
We are Looking for:
- An experienced Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering business systems or technology change
- Experience managing complex projects across multiple teams or workstreams
- Strong stakeholder, supplier, and dependency management skills
- A confident, delivery-focused approach with the ability to challenge where necessary
- Experience working within a large, operational, or multi-site organisation
- CRM implementation experience would be beneficial but is not essential
- Immediate or very short-notice availability

Priority is finding a capable Project Manager who can lead delivery and commit to being onsite in Northamptonshire four days per week.
