Project Manager – AI & Automation Implementation

πŸ“ Location: Bolton, UK (Hybrid - 2 days per week in office)
πŸ’° Salary: Β£55,000 Base + 10% Bonus (Paid Twice Yearly)
πŸ“… Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Potential to Go Permanent)
πŸ›‚ Visa Sponsorship: Not Available (UK Right to Work Required)

About the Opportunity

My client is the UK's largest provider of NHS cataract surgery, who are in the middle of one of the most exciting digital transformations in UK healthcare.

They're rolling out AI-powered diagnostics, automated patient bookings, AI-driven call handling, and RPA for referrals processing across 70+ sites nationally.

Our client is expanding their Business Improvement team and hiring a Project Manager to help implement these AI and automation initiatives. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a possibility of going permanent - they have a track record of converting FTCs to permanent roles.

Even if it doesn't convert, a year of AI and automation project experience will make you significantly more employable in this rapidly growing space.

What You'll Do

You'll be the one actually delivering the transformation initiatives – managing projects from initiation through to closure, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects land successfully.

You'll work alongside the Change Manager, who handles governance and PMO oversight, while you focus on implementation and delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full project lifecycle from initiation through to closure
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Identifying and documenting project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies
  • Coordinating project team members and ensuring clear roles and responsibilities
  • Facilitating meetings and workshops with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Utilising Prince2 and/or Agile methodologies to deliver projects
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and business process mapping
  • Managing project budgets and resources within scope and timeframes
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships across the business

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
