About the role:
As a Project Manager at JCB World Headquarters, you’ll lead the successful delivery of a diverse range of construction and infrastructure projects across the business. Working closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers, you’ll manage projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated project professional with construction experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting JCB’s continued growth, delivering facilities and infrastructure projects that enable our operations and future success.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Managing the full lifecycle of construction projects, from feasibility and design through to completion and handover
- Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements
- Managing the pre-construction and construction phases, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed timescales and objectives
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
- Procuring and managing suppliers, contractors, and professional service providers
- Coordinating and managing third-party design teams, ensuring they deliver against agreed programmes and project milestones
- Producing simple design concepts and solutions where required to demonstrate project outcomes before engaging specialist design teams
- Monitoring project costs and maintaining financial control throughout the project lifecycle
- Establishing and maintaining quality standards to ensure successful project delivery
- Ensuring JCB's health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld throughout project planning and execution
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Providing clear project updates and managing expectations across all levels of the organisation
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned and best practice implementation
- Travelling to JCB facilities and project locations as required

This will be suited to you if…
- You have proven project management experience within a construction environment
- You have a strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle, including risk management and contract administration
- You have experience delivering projects to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards
- You are confident planning, scheduling, and coordinating resources across multiple projects
- You have experience managing suppliers, contractors, consultants, and external design teams
- You possess strong leadership skills and can effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- You are an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
- You have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills and can confidently manage ambiguity and changing priorities
- You are highly organised with excellent time management and project coordination skills
- You have strong commercial awareness and financial management capability
- You have experience working within operational, industrial, or manufacturing environments, which would be advantageous
- You have experience using CAD or similar digital drawing software, or are willing to develop these skills
- An APM qualification or similar professional project management accreditation would be advantageous, but is not essential
