Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Technology Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of enterprise backup, recovery and data-resilience projects. The role requires demonstrable project management expertise together with strong experience of Rubrik or comparable enterprise backup technologies. You will manage engagements from initiation and discovery through design, implementation, migration, testing, transition and closure, working closely with customers, technical specialists, vendors and internal delivery teams.

Projects will vary in duration and complexity, from focused deployments and upgrades to multi-phase transformation and migration programmes. The successful candidate will be comfortable taking ownership quickly, establishing effective governance and maintaining delivery momentum in remote, customer-facing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Rubrik and enterprise backup, recovery, migration, upgrade and transformation projects, ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved.
• Translate statements of work, contractual commitments and customer objectives into clear delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, acceptance criteria and resource requirements.
• Lead project initiation, discovery, planning, governance, execution, transition to service and formal closure across concurrent engagements.
• Coordinate solution architects, backup and infrastructure engineers, security teams, service operations, vendors and customer stakeholders across distributed locations.
• Maintain accurate project plans, RAID logs, decision logs, change controls, financial forecasts, status reports and project documentation.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and commercial performance, escalating early where delivery or customer outcomes are at risk.
• Plan and oversee technical readiness, data protection policy alignment, migration or onboarding activity, testing, recovery validation, cutover, rollback and hypercare.
• Chair customer governance and delivery meetings, providing clear reporting and actionable recommendations to technical teams, senior stakeholders and executives.
• Manage third-party suppliers and technology vendors, including dependencies, deliverables, licensing considerations and support hand-offs.
• Ensure operational acceptance is supported by complete documentation, knowledge transfer, support processes and measurable acceptance criteria.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to repeatable delivery standards, templates and continuous improvement across the project practice.
