About the Role
As a project manager you will join us for a contract duration of 6 months. You will be responsible for ensuring effective planning, execution, and completion of bespoke customer orders and product development projects. You will oversee project portfolios, allocate resources, and facilitate collaboration to meet project goals and contribute to the company's business objectives.
Note: This is a 6 month contract position.
About your responsibilities
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources, to ensure project requirements are met efficiently.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, assess their impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Budget Control: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial performance aligns with objectives.
- Customer Specification Interpretation: Manage the review and interpretation of customer specifications to determine appropriate products required to meet customer requirements.
- Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication among project stakeholders.
- Project Execution: Oversee project execution, ensuring tasks are on time, in budget, and to required standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, prepare progress reports, and communicate project status to relevant parties.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to align objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of project deliverables.
- Problem-Solving: Addressing project-related challenges and obstacles, making informed decisions and implementing solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Change Management: Adapt to evolving project requirements, assess the impact of changes, and implement adjustments as needed in line with company processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and drive efficiency enhancements to optimize outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the project adheres to relevant legal and regulatory requirements and industry-specific standards.
- Project Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional resources allocated to project, providing guidance, support, and direction.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates and budgets for manufacturing projects, ensuring accurate planning.
- Project Closure: Overseeing the successful completion of projects, conducting post-project evaluations, documenting lessons learned, and ensuring all project deliverables are handed over effectively.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties or responsibilities as requested by the company, in line with the overall purpose of the role and the needs of the business.

What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Customer relationship management
- Experience in Design Project management roles
- Experience of working in an electronic and mechanical design environment
