Project Manager

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Project Manager. This role supports the Commercial Vehicle division of a global automotive and industrial manufacturing client, managing mid to high level programs in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and follow up on deliverables and activities across mid to high level programs
  • Assemble core program teams and lead the program planning process, including work breakdown structure and financial baseline
  • Coordinate with functional teams (design, quality, production, finance) to meet program milestones
  • Develop and maintain project timing charts and schedules aligned with customer commitments
  • Plan and lead team meetings and program status reviews across Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Purchasing
  • Communicate project status through reports and management reviews at all levels
  • Identify and resolve project issues using root cause analysis and change management processes
  • Serve as liaison with the client on program issues, including participation in client meetings
  • Monitor project scope, budget, and schedule for compliance with client specifications
  • Identify staffing needs and coordinate with appropriate functions in a timely manner
  • Schedule, monitor, and facilitate Stage Gate reviews, including with senior management

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant project management experience
  • Regular, direct experience working with external customers
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Understanding of financial analysis concepts and budget management

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with APQP and formal program management techniques
  • Experience operating in a matrix management structure across cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lead both strategically and hands-on, from planning through execution
  • Ability to make decisions independently with appropriate consultation
  • Strong problem-solving, team-building, planning, and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to high ethical standards and to inclusion and diversity
