URGENT REQUIREMENT

M&E Project / Construction Manager – Data Centres

London | Site-Based | Mechanical & Electrical
12 Month contract

We are supporting a leading data centre project delivery team with the appointment of experienced Mechanical and Electrical Project / Construction Managers to join an established PMC team on a major live data centre project near Heathrow.

This is an opportunity to take a key role in the delivery of M&E projects within an operational data centre environment, working closely with contractors, engineering teams, and wider project stakeholders from delivery through to completion.

You will be responsible for the effective project and construction management of mechanical or electrical works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required programme, quality, and technical standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing M&E project and construction activities through delivery
  • Coordinating contractors and specialist subcontractors
  • Managing programme, progress, and delivery against key milestones
  • Managing project interfaces across multiple disciplines and stakeholders
  • Ensuring quality standards and project requirements are maintained
  • Working closely with the wider PMC and client teams
  • Managing works within an active/live data centre environment
  • Supporting commissioning and handover activities
  • Identifying and resolving project issues and delivery risks
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with relevant procedures and standards

We are looking for experienced Mechanical and Electrical Project or Construction Managers with an engineering background and proven experience delivering projects within the data centre sector.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience within data centre projects
  • A mechanical or electrical engineering background
  • Proven Project Management or Construction Management experience
  • Experience managing contractors and subcontractors
  • Experience delivering projects on live/operational sites
  • Good understanding of commissioning and handover processes
  • Strong programme, quality, and interface management experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment
