- Chair and attend project progress meetings and provide clear reporting on programme, risks, and delivery.
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction information prior to and during works.
- Manage RFIs, design queries, and changes arising during the refurbishment.
- Identify potential programme delays or construction issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontract packages in line with the project programme.
- Work closely with the commercial team on project costs, variations, valuations, and subcontractor performance.
- Ensure appropriate health & safety standards and site procedures are maintained throughout the project.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, finish, and quality control.
- Coordinate inspections, snagging, defect rectification, and final handover.
- Manage communication and site logistics carefully where works affect residents, neighbouring properties, or shared areas.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
