Location: Central London
Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

We are looking for an experienced M&E Project Manager to join an established projects team delivering a diverse portfolio of construction, mechanical and electrical projects across a number of prestigious Grade I listed buildings in central London.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you'll take ownership of projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial design, specification and tender through to on-site delivery, completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple M&E and construction projects from initial planning through to successful completion.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, programmes and schedules, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the required quality.
  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, design teams, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage live site activity and provide appropriate contractor and project oversight.
  • Support procurement and tendering, including the preparation of tender documentation and management of the tender process.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, change control and variations.
  • Monitor project performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs and provide clear progress reports and updates.
  • Identify and manage project risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with CDM Regulations and health & safety requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations where required and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Build strong relationships with client representatives and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and project management systems.
  • Navigate the additional requirements associated with delivering projects within listed and heritage buildings.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for somebody with strong construction project management experience who is confident managing complex M&E projects in a demanding environment.

You don't need to be a qualified engineer, but you will need a good practical understanding of mechanical and electrical projects and the experience to confidently manage their delivery.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Strong construction project management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering complex mechanical and electrical projects.
  • Good working knowledge of M&E systems and project delivery.
  • Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from design and tender through to delivery and completion.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong budget, programme and commercial awareness.
  • Experience managing contractors and live project sites.
  • Good client and stakeholder management skills.
  • Working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
  • A strong understanding of health & safety within a construction environment.
  • SMSTS qualification. (essential)
  • The ability to obtain SC security clearance. Existing active SC clearance would be advantageous but is not essential at application stage.
  • A proactive approach with the drive and confidence to take ownership and get involved from day one.
