Project Manager (Commercial Solar) | Outside IR35 Contract
Location: West London / Hybrid (3 days per week in the office and client sites)
Contract Length: 3-6 Months
Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Outside IR35)
Start: ASAP
A rapidly growing renewable energy business is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a portfolio of commercial rooftop solar projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured work and play a key role in delivering high-value renewable energy installations.
This role is confirmed as outside IR35, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial and industrial rooftop solar projects simultaneously.
- Oversee projects from initial planning through to commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor programme delivery, budgets, variations, and commercial performance.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Provide regular progress updates and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage site activities and contractor performance across multiple locations.

Requirements
- Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial rooftop solar PV projects.
- Strong electrical knowledge or background within the renewable energy sector.
- Demonstrable experience managing contractors and site delivery teams.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing project costs and budgets.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable using project management software such as Asana, Monday.com, or similar.

Desirable
- Experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and EV charging infrastructure.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety requirements.
- SMSTS, SSSTS, or equivalent site management qualifications.
