Project Manager - £550 p/d Outside IR35 Contract - Gloucestershire

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a mid-market manufacturing business as it introduces greater structure and governance across a significant portfolio of business change projects.

You'll need to be comfortable bringing structure to projects already in flight, challenging stakeholders and making sure actions actually get delivered.

The portfolio is varied and genuinely business-wide. Projects include manufacturing and product standardisation, inventory accuracy, costing and operational processes, site closures, new material trials and technology change including Oracle, MES, data and security initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing a portfolio of approximately six concurrent projects
  • Establishing clear governance, project plans, timelines and accountability
  • Coordinating stakeholders across operations, manufacturing, finance, sales and IT
  • Working with senior stakeholders and C-suite project sponsors
  • Picking up existing projects, quickly understanding their status and bringing them under control
  • Challenging delays and keeping people accountable for agreed actions
  • Getting hands-on where necessary while remaining focused on effective project management

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for

You'll be a solid Project Manager with experience delivering business change within a manufacturing environment.

You'll be comfortable working in an organisation where project management processes are still developing, rather than relying on a highly mature PMO structure. You'll need the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams and keep projects moving. Experience across both business change and technology-enabled projects would be particularly useful.
