PROJECT MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced PROJECT MANAGER to join a key AI PROGRAMME and take ownership of a critical workstream, driving delivery outcomes while working closely with senior business stakeholders and product-based technology delivery teams.

PROJECT MANAGER – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a key workstream within the AI PROGRAMME and ensure successful delivery of agreed outcomes.
  • Lead complex, high-risk, ambiguous, and interdependent projects.
  • Provide strong delivery leadership, project planning, and execution.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and executive stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and cross-project dependencies.
  • Provide clear, concise, and authoritative reporting to senior governance forums.
  • Use sound judgement and autonomy when managing priorities, trade-offs, and escalations.
  • Lead project governance and ensure adherence to appropriate project delivery methodologies.
  • Manage people, including line management, performance management, and coaching.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, commercial considerations, and value for money.
  • Navigate complex organizational environments and deliver through influence.
  • Collaborate with technology delivery teams, business stakeholders, and programme stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • 5–7 years of relevant PROJECT MANAGEMENT experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the FINANCIAL SERVICES or REGULATORY sector.
  • Proven experience delivering complex and high-risk projects.
  • Strong PROJECT DELIVERY and DELIVERY LEADERSHIP experience.
  • Excellent SENIOR STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT and EXECUTIVE STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT skills.
  • Strong PROJECT RISK MANAGEMENT and DEPENDENCY MANAGEMENT experience.
  • Experience working with PROJECT GOVERNANCE frameworks and delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills.
  • Experience with PEOPLE LEADERSHIP, line management, performance management, and coaching.
  • Strong COMMERCIAL AND FINANCIAL ACUMEN, including budget management and forecasting.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and deliver effectively within complex organizations.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience delivering or implementing AGENTIC AI solutions.
  • Experience managing AI technology delivery and associated BUSINESS CHANGE.
  • Experience managing technical delivery and organizational change within an HR department.
  • Experience working within an AI PROGRAMME or large-scale technology transformation programme.
