Project Manager – AV & Smart Technology
Location: London
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience + Bonus
Type: Permanent
We are working with a specialist technology business delivering bespoke AV, lighting control, and smart technology solutions across high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality environments.
The business is growing and is looking for a Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from planning through to completion. This is a hands-on role, combining client management, site coordination, technical project delivery, and people management.
The Role
You will be responsible for making sure projects are properly planned, resourced, and delivered, working closely with clients, engineers, suppliers, and the wider team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing projects from initial planning through to installation and completion
- Being the main point of contact for clients throughout delivery
- Coordinating engineers and technical teams across multiple sites
- Planning engineers' weeks and making sure resources are in the right place at the right time
- Ensuring the correct equipment and materials are ordered and available when required
- Managing site activity, with a mixture of office, client, and site-based work
- Working with the design and estimating teams to ensure projects are delivered as specified
- Managing project logistics, timelines, and budgets
- Resolving issues on-site and keeping projects moving
- Overseeing installation, testing, commissioning, and handover
- Supporting and managing the engineers working on your projects

About You

We're more interested in how you work and how you deal with people than ticking every technical box.
You could come from an AV, smart home, electrical, building technology, M&E, or systems integration background and have moved into project management. What's important is that you're:
- Client-facing and confident dealing with people
- Organised and able to manage multiple moving parts
- Comfortable managing technical teams and site activity
- Practical and commercially aware
- Proactive when problems arise
- Hungry to take ownership and get projects delivered
- Someone who takes pride in doing things properly
Technical knowledge of AV, lighting control, smart technology, or systems integration would be useful, but the business is willing to train the right person.
A driving licence is required.
