Project Manager - Infrastructure & Complex Construction Projects

About the Opportunity

I'm looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing construction consultancy delivering some of the UK's most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside industry-leading professionals on major projects across sectors including rail, highways, aviation, water, utilities, energy, defence and local authority infrastructure. You'll play a key role in managing projects from inception through to completion while helping clients achieve successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, delivery plans, budgets and resource plans.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on programme, cost, risk and project governance.
  • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Prepare project reports, risk registers and progress updates.
  • Monitor project performance and identify opportunities to improve delivery.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with agreed objectives.
  • Support effective communication across project teams and client organisations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice in project management.

About You

They're looking for someone who combines strong technical project management skills with excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership abilities. You'll ideally have:

  • A recognised Project Management qualification (APM, RICS, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent), or be working towards one.
  • Demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary teams on construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience delivering projects within live operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of project management across both pre-contract and post-contract stages.
  • Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle from planning to completion.
  • Previous experience within one or more of the following sectors:
    • Rail
    • Aviation
    • Highways
    • Water
    • Utilities
    • Energy
    • Defence
  • Experience working within regulated environments and established governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of delivery.
